Attorney Michael J. Laffey, president of Other Party Liability Inc. (OPL), has been performing subrogation work on behalf of employers and insurance companies since 1994. A former in house counsel for Highmark Blue Shield and a former member of a 100 attorney plus law firm, he formed Laffey & Associates in 2002.
In conjunction with OPL, Laffey & Associates P.C. performs the litigation and legal subrogation work for employers and insurance companies, primarily health care plans. The group also handles appeals work. While the organization's headquarters are in Carnegie, Pennsylvania, its lawyers assist clients throughout the United States and have represented employers and insurers in all 50 states.
